What preventative measures can I anticipate?
Diet & Lifestyle Recommendations
As part of your dental evaluation, the dental team will discuss your diet and way of life. We advocate for a proactive, long-term approach to oral health. The risk of preventable complications, such as tooth surface loss due to diet or sleep disturbances and long-term gum disease associated with smoking, will be evaluated by our courteous staff.
Oral Health Counselling
We will thoroughly examine your gums for early indicators of gum disease. We will provide brushing and hygiene recommendations to prevent gingivitis and premature tooth loss.
Dental X-rays
We utilise digital x-rays to detect decay indicators that the dentist cannot see with the unaided eye. X-rays are also useful for assessing the health of your teeth's supporting structures.
Fluoride Varnish
Teeth that are susceptible to cavities (decay) can be treated with a varnish containing a high concentration of fluoride, which helps to remineralize enamel. Fluoride varnish is especially useful for preventing tooth caries in hard-to-reach areas and in children who do not brush properly.
Fissure Sealants
Fissure sealants are used to replace the microscopic pits and fissures between tooth cusps. Commonly used on the teeth of children, whose permanent teeth may not have received sufficient fluoride exposure to safeguard them from harmful bacteria.
Treatments
A specialised branch of dental care that focuses on providing immediate and urgent dental treatments for patients experiencing dental emergencies such as severe toothaches, broken teeth, or dental trauma.
Including preventive care, regular check-ups, dental cleanings, fillings, and other non-emergency treatments, aimed at maintaining optimal oral health and preventing dental problems.
A relaxed and anxiety-free experience for patients during dental procedures, allowing individuals with dental phobia or anxiety to receive the necessary treatments comfortably.
A common oral surgery procedure aimed at removing impacted or problematic wisdom teeth, relieving pain, preventing dental misalignment, and promoting overall oral health.
Endodontic therapy, involves the removal of infected or damaged dental pulp from the tooth, effectively saving the natural tooth and alleviating pain caused by infection or inflammation.
Enhancing the appearance of the smile through various treatments such as teeth whitening, dental veneers, dental bonding, and orthodontics, aiming to improve the aesthetics and boost self-confidence.
